This week at Albertsons Post Cereal is on sale for $1.57 a box when you buy 2. As I was browsing through the Pinching Your Pennies website I noticed that when you buy 5 boxes you get a catalina printout for $5 on your next visit (this is not on the grocerysmarts website). There were also $1/2 Post cereal coupons in the 3/1 and 3/29 SmartSource inserts.

This morning I decided to add up all the coupons in the Red Plum and Smart Source. I was amazed how many awesome coupons we got! All together it came to $117.55 worth of coupons! Wow! (That is not counting any restaurant coupons, just manufactured!) Then I went back through them and added up the ones I would use. It came to $43.64! Not bad considering I paid a measily $1.00 for it!

I hope I get some more people entering our contest this week, cause so far only 2 people have emailed me! This will be an easy $10.00 to win for one of them!

There's a $10.00 gift certificate to Albertsons or Wal-mart for the person that saves the most on this weeks sales! You can shop at any grocery store on the grocerysmarts list (besides walmart). This will be fun and motivate us to really plan our shopping lists out skillfully.

Below is what each contestant needs to do...

what you paid and what you saved.

Double Coupons insert for Albertsons

Did you see the Double Coupons in this Sundays paper? We each get 4 double coupons per paper! Just remember these doubles are only good til tomorrow (3-24) so get to Albies quick! I get 6 papers so I will try to get there a few times to use as many as I can because the coupon says "4 coupons per family per shopping trip" Or you just have to be creative! Good Luck!

That's how we get our way, eventually. Ladies, we need to let these stores know when we are disappointed or happy with them. The times I complain to a manager about the lack of their merchandise, or a grumpy cashier that was rude, it is heard. When you complain, make sure to complain to a manager. Nobody else has the authority to help or please you like they do. They want our business and want us to be happy. If you can't do it right there at the store when it happens, just email them. Go to the stores website, i.e. albertsons.com and go to contact us. The few times i have emailed them they have sent me something to make up for my troubles.

Albertsons Sale this week!

Okay, my trip wasn't as great as last weeks, but that's how it goes in this grocery game. Some weeks are phenominal, and some are just so so. But sales are all in the eye of the beholder. One weeks sale might be awesome for one and not for another.

We all buy different things! That is the beauty of it!

My favorite buy this week would have to be the Wheat Thins. My family loves them and they only cost .50! But I am definitely going back for the EVOO (as Rachael Ray would call it) The Filippo Berio extra virgin olive oil is on sale for 11.99 for 101 oz. That is a huge bottle! I also had to buy a few perishables this trip and that always bumps your tab up. So here's my breakdown...

Shopping today was a pleasant surprise. At first i wasn't too excited about this weeks sale but i did need quite a few things on the list. My favorite purchase was the o.b.tampons (40 count) for .51 cents! What a steal! I found everything in stock! I also mentioned to Mike, the store manager, that i was impressed with their stock. He told me they have really been working on it! Yeah!!! I tell him that my biggest complaint from ladies is when they're out of sales items. Keep complaining ladies, they're listening!

This weeks papers!

This Sunday we got the Red Plum, Smart Source, and the Proctor and Gamble magazines. If you did not get all three, please call your paper asap! Sometimes they will fix the problem that day if you call early on. If not just make sure you complain to your paper that there was a delivery mistake, if they don't have extra coupons to bring you, they will add an extra week on to your subscriptions plan for free.
